The Gaming Giant Recruits Popular Battle Royale Lead to Boost Challenged Action Game Ambitious Title

2K Games has welcomed Ben Brinkman from the creators of Apex Legends to lead the development team at their internal studio, which is currently developing the anticipated third-person roguelike extraction-shooter known as Project Ethos.

Leadership Transition Follows Poor Feedback

The new appointee takes on the leadership position at 31st Union following the exit of previous head the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to the game's underwhelming initial reveal last fall.

Recently, 2K president a key figure notified team members about this decision through an internal memo, which stressed that early feedback sessions had shown the need for a distinct game identity.

Ismailer noted that the developers is now overhauling Project Ethos with a revised approach, aiming to satisfy player expectations.

A Pattern of Key Acquisitions

This announcement follows a similar step taken by the publisher in August, when they hired an industry veteran from the Diablo team to assist with the beloved franchise studio Cloud Chamber.
